I’ve always liked illustrations that don’t use outlines. But whenever I try to draw characters without them myself, I always feel like it looks wrong.
Anyway, this is an attempt I did using a panel from an old Quickdraw McGraw comic book by Hanna Barbera as a reference. It’s just three cowboys looking angry and saying “NO!”
It still looks wrong to me without the outlines. Why does it look so good when other people draw that way? 🤔
